You’re invited to the inaugural Bay Area Deaf Dance Festival! 

The 2013 Bay Area Deaf Dance Festival (BADDF) will celebrate the creative talents of Deaf and Hard of

Hearing performing and fine artists in the disciplines of dance, music, painting, and handcrafted artisan wares.  It will include workshops in Deaf Leadership Development within the arts and will showcase the exciting results of collaborations between hearing and deaf artists. 

BADDF objectives are

to:

Showcase the contributions of the

Deaf community to the arts;

Raise Deaf awareness in non-deaf populations;

Cultivate interest in the arts and encourage artistic expression in Bay Area residents.

Our inaugural event will take place August 9-11, 2013 at Dance Mission Theater, 3316 24th Street (corner Mission) San Francisco.  Dance Mission is one of the best hot spots for any festival in SF and will feature a diverse variety of deaf performing artists.

We are still in need of $2,000 to present this exceptional event at its maximum potential.  We can’t do this alone, so we’re asking for your help. Please be a force in helping us produce BADDF 2013 by sending your donation in any amount.  Whatever you give from your heart

will make a difference!

I thought every time I go to a Bar - I have really good chat with people - so deep - I had to share-

 

Him: "Antoine Hunter, I was trying to be like you- I remember (yearssss ago) you would DRIVE to L.A on a business trip or to see your woman all in one day... (shaking his head)...Now when you see your woman.. after 7 hours drives, did you even have the energy to have sex??... cuzz I COULDN'T!!! "Antoine Hunter 

 

Me: "(was laughing on the floor- 15 mins)... (Watering eyes)...

 

Him: It's ain't funny,... she's mad at me and i drove all the way there... I can't even grab her cuzz my arm strong and my back so tired...

 

Me: Why you didn't take a nap together.. HIM: It was lunch time..

 

Me: Why you didn't let her feed you...

 

HIM: She did.. 

 

ME:...

 

HIM: So how did you do it? Coffee or something.. ain't that bad for you anyway?

 

Me: "Man, do what work for you but for me to tell you what I did is my business and I know it ain't easy"

 

Him: come on man ..

 

Me" I can't tell you how to be superman"

 

Him: "Come on man."

 

Me: "what?"

 

Him:" (Hit me on my Chest) Come on MAN!" 

 

Me: "Ok, simple, Tell her you love her and mean it.. think about how you would make her happy like cleaning the house , cooking for her all that and knowing it would make her smile and KISS HER.. Then the energy set back in. I ain't lying it work..

 

Him: " ... you didnt drink Red Bull?"

 

Me: " ...do you love her?"

 

Him: "I like her but love her naw man.. I don't see a future with her"

 

Me: Then that why you didnt have the energy.. LOVE is like a lightning bolt, the energy so LARGE it's strike the Mind, Heart, body and Soul back alive !!"

STOP RAPE- Stop Abuse!!!

Dear All,

Many people don't know but I am surivor and I am of course against RAPE AND ABUSES. 

Many people do not know that I am fully involved in movement to stop RAPE and ABUSE!

Often I think about our children, hoping their would never had to ever experince that.

I know for myself as Parent, I worry about my children future.

I thought I take the time to create BLOG here on educating What Rape is and how to Fight it.

I join force for many time with DeafHope- 

Wonderful Organzaine that support Deaf who been rape and alway training people to understand the rape culture-

Sadly it is true it happen everyday all over the world. It can happen to anyone, any race, age, and so on. I found many people in my Deaf community didnt know how to protect themselve or speak up even myself - I was lost. It wasnt until years later I've learn my right and understood wow I am surivor.

I have a question for you

Are you a Sexist?

I know there is alot of information but we need to still continue to educate. Our gay community is being attack everyday just like Deaf people being attack everyday- Does it make you wonder what the number against Deaf Gay community. I am strong believe no one should be rape. Gay, str-8, Deaf or Disable. I asked the community to join the fight let no one suffer that pain alone.
